Redefining Quality of Life

Mike DeFazio is the Founder and Executive Director of An Officer and Two Gentlemen Inc. and has created our reintegration programs for all Veterans and First Responders to reintegrate into the community, but Mike wasn't willing to stop there as he believed that the community also needs to reintegrate with their Veterans and First Responders equally. His passion is to give back, and to serve, and his goals are to redefine what disability truly means, and furthermore that everyone can find a certain quality of life no matter their physical or mental capabilities, and when they challenge themselves to do so well the reward is so fulfilling. Mike is a disabled veteran himself who struggles through many of the same things that this organization targets to reintegrate. He serves as an ambassador to all people but especially disabled people around the world. His favorite quotes are true epitomes of what he believes in.

Mike really is the change he wishes to see in this world, and thus why one of his biggest goals was to be a sponsored rider especially in the winter / Snowsports (snowmobile), and Street-sports (motorcycle) circuits. Mike started this ambassadorship journey in the early 2000's riding both snowmobiles, and dirt bikes in his youth. This is where he learned the fundamentals of riding, and how to release a little stress where needed. There was a time where Mike wasn't to fond of the colder weather involved with snowmobiling though, but that didn't last long. During his service in The United States Navy, he still tried to getaway and ride his then 2005 Skidoo GSX 500 Limited. In 2019 after returning from his last deployment overseas, Mike experienced a rapidly changing life, and many hardships from his service. He was diagnosed with PTSD, Anxiety, Major Depressive Disorder, and Insomnia amongst other physical conditions. This is where Mike really utilized his passions of cooking, woodworking, and snowmobiling / motorcycling. From there he realized that it was those passions that was helping him through the toughest of times, reminding him that there is still beauty in the world of darkness. This is where he formed An Officer and Two Gentlemen Inc. where he serves Veterans and First Responders to reintegrate via his adventure snowmobile programs alongside his volunteer staff operating within Pittsburg Nh, and the vast trail system within and around the White Mountains. Mike joined forces with different brands as an Authorized Dealer through An Officer and Two Gentlemen Inc. this allowed for the programs to benefit in the proceeds of the dealerships sales, but also utilize the high-quality gear at a more cost-effective rate for the adventure programs that they operate. Mike then represented An Officer and Two Gentlemen as a sponsored rider for the dealership. He loves to rep the great brands such as Rothco, Eagle Emblem, 509, and Snow Studs as they are truly products that he loves, and believes in. Through his diligent work to represent riders everywhere and challenging people's quality of life through powersports Mike was selected by 509 Inc. to join their ambassador team and currently represents the 509 Street Crew and their newest line of Motorcycle Gear. He is extremely excited to continue to represent the very passion that he enjoys within motorsports with all people. His story has no end as he continues to redefine what Disability is and what it can look like. Mike is a true leader in the industry and representation of what quality of life can look like no matter the physical or mental capabilities, and or disabilities. In the past 2 years alone Mike and his team have served over 60 Veterans and First Responders at their Camp One Eighty Lodge, and are excited for the many years of reintegration to come. Mike owns and operates a fleet of snowmobiles for the organizations snowmobile adventure reintegration programs and his personal ride is a 2021 Skidoo MXZ TNT. Mike loves everything 509 and you can often see him sporting their signature merch, or any number of products day by day or while he rides. Mike also owns a 2015 Indian Scout 1200 cc series motorcycle where he enjoys to ride the open and backroads. He has a variety of helmets that he likes to switch out from time to time but his current favorite is the all new 509 MachV which includes 509s Venturi Vent System and signature fidlock safety strap. Motorsports Ambassador

Born for the snow, Michael began riding snowmobiles around the age of 6 on a Little Skipper that was beautifully restored by his father and uncle, and now resides in a museum. This was a passion shared throughout life with his dad. He now gets to enjoy riding with his wife & teenage son, while his two year old daughter loves yard rides.

Michael now lives on a snowmobile trail in northern NH and cannot wait to get his Timbersled 120R’s out and share his passion for Timbersled with others. He loves spirited trail riding, exploring rural areas, and the camaraderie of the snow-bike and snowmobile community. He has always felt at home on the snow, and some of his best stories and memories come from the snowy trails! Mike is also one of our key volunteer staff members who was one of the first I might add to show our founder and executive director that this organization could impact so many lives. From turning wrenches and wiring electrical for hours on end, to towing out our Snowmobiles, and Trucks out of sticky situations with his beefy and strong Polaris Titan (for those that don't know mike does snowmobile recovery professionally) to stepping in to be the lead guide on the trails where need be mike does it all. He can often be seen repping our brands whether AOATG, Camp One Eighty, or one of our dealership brands like 509, or Snow studs.
